India e-Visa is granted to a foreigner whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, and a casual visit to meet friends or relatives, attending a short-term yoga program, medical treatment including treatment under Indian systems of medicine and business purpose, and no other purpose/ activity. This facility shall not be available if the person or either of his / her parents or grandparents (paternal or maternal) was born in, or was permanently resident in Pakistan. The e-Visa facility shall not be available to holders of Diplomatic/Official passports, UNLP (UN Passport) holders, and international travel document holders e.g. INTERPOL officials. To apply for a tourist visa online, you must have a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months before entering India country. In other words, once you enter the Indian region, the passport must have at least 6 months before its expiry on that valid date. If this is the reason, you must apply for a new passport before applying online India e-visa. This passport must be in good condition when you will arrive in India. If the passport is damaged or in bad condition, then it may cause problems with customs officials who may refuse entry at that time.
You will also need a recent passport-size headshot photograph, taken from the front, without sunglasses, necklaces, or anything that prevents correct identification of your personal photo. If possible, the headshot photo should be with a plain white background. And finally, you must fill in a long but straightforward fill online India e-visa form, where you must correctly indicate your details fill out the online form, and answer the relevant questions with the mandatory * field.
Once all of these procedures have been completed online e-visa application form, the reply or acceptance for your visa will be sent via email.
